Are you being too cautious? It could be hurting your E-Business!

We've all heard the horror stories. An identity stolen, credit cards hijacked, even serial killers showing up at your door......all because someone used the internet to deliver personal information.

So, as an Ebusiness owner, dedicated to producing a growing income, and successful Ebusiness, how do we manage what could seem to be the horrendous amount of information that we must transport online, in order to make this Ebusiness thing work.

If you've been working at building an Ebusiness for any length of time at all, you are well aware of how much information you must transport across cyberspace on a daily basis. You have to be able to receive payments on line, make payments on line, sign up for affiliate programs, message boards, email accounts, webhosting accounts, autoresponder accounts, etc. The list continues to grow as your Ebusiness does. And most, if not all, of these critical parts of your Ebusiness are going to be asking for your personal information in order to set you up as a particpant. Name, address, phone number, credit card number, some even need your social security number (if you want to get paid!). So, where do you draw the line?

The truth is, if you cannot come to terms with taking care of necessary business on line, you are setting yourself up for all kinds of headaches, and roadblocks to success. In fact, if you're not ready to use the internet for these things, you might as well go rent yourself some space at your local mall.

Keeping your personal information secure on line is really just another one of those areas where common sense will take care of most risks. It is an integral part of doing business online; no more or less necessary than doing routine maintenence on your Puter.

First of all, almost all reputable companies will be guaranteeing your security on line. The only thing you might want to be watchful for is some of the spyware that can be added to your computer as a marketing aid. But you can take care of this by using the free program Ad-Aware. It removes all spyware from your machine.

Remember that other folks doing business on the Internet are using all of the benefits of this media. Just like any other business, when they have to jump through extra hoops to satisfy your security phobias, their overhead goes up. Result? You wind up paying more to offset the cost.

If you're worried about a hacker accessing your information as you transfer it, then only do online transactions with folks you know or ask someone about the reputibility of the company. Look for a Secure Server Notice. E-mail them first so you know you are dealing with a live person. If a site or service is not willing to make themselves known to you, then common sense would say to stay away from them! You can also get this free encryption utility and encrypt your important files. http://www.webmasterfree.com/software/2398.html

If you're not able to deal with all of this, how can you expect others to pay you for your products? Your business is an ONLINE business. Your customers are going to be expecting to be able to pay you online. If it is beyond you to do business on the Internet the way business is done here then the best thing for you to do might be to invest in some games and forget E-Business.
