The Internet is creating opportunities we never imagined.

Affiliate programs are the OIL WELLS of the Internet, churning out dollars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with minimal involvement on our part. Now there are ways to drill the well deeper, keeping costs down while making profits go up.

Whether you are involved in one or many affiliate programs, let's examine together one technique (there are many) that will help turn YOUR involvement into the Internet oil well you hoped for.

Let's say you have a web site that primarily sells vitamins. On your site you have affiliate links for selling books about vitamins, exercise videos and all manner of health related items.

Yet, you are a cat lover as well.

You regularly chat about cats. You participate in cat forums and post to a few bulletin boards as well. Some people buy vitamins from you based on your presence in chats and forums, but not many.

To cure this problem, you make your web site multifaceted. You establish a page on your site about your interest in cats. Now, when you are discussing cats, send a link to THAT page with your messages. Include on that page only the affiliate programs that relate to cats; books, food, toys, grooming supplies, etc., and let the page stand alone as a profit center. Of course, link it to your home page, or any other page for that matter, just in case.

To INCREASE the interplay between the pages on your site, you send visitors who buy cat health related items a thank you note. In the note, you include a PS that says something like 'Congratulations on taking such good care of your cat. By the way, how about YOUR health?' Of course, you invite them to click here for TODAY'S special on vitamins, books etc. to help them maintain good health.

Remember this. Often the gold mine you are looking for is right under your nose. Expand your site, use PAGE SPECIFIC affiliate links and watch your Internet oil well overflow with income.
