We know more people than we think. Studies show that about 250 people attend a person's wedding, and the same number will attend that person's funeral. So their 'circle of influence' consisted of about 250 people.

Everyone wants a huge number of visitors on their site who click through and buy something. That's how we grow, get paid. but it's what everyone else is doing too.

We need an ENDLESS SUPPLY of people who BUY AND REFER OTHERS. Here are two simple ideas, which IF DONE over time, will provide you that supply.

SEND THANK YOU NOTES

Marketing 101? Yep.. but are you DOING it? Here's how to do it WELL. Create a generic thank you note in your email program. Every time you meet someone new, personalize the note and send it ASAP. Send these notes to everyone. You are getting everyone's email address, right? I have both sent and received thank you notes and believe me; they work on both ends.

Now. the POWER STEP

FOLLOW UP THE THANK YOU NOTE.

You've sent the thank you note, probably giving your contact a pleasant surprise. You impress them by your thoughtfulness. Next, wait three days and send them another note; this time asking for referrals. BE SURE to include in this note a section that they can clip out and use as the basis for their note. You can even ask them to send you a BCC if you like. Now wait and watch the referrals flow in.

This technique works offline, yet VERY FEW people do it online. Become one of those few. Your business will prosper and you will widen your circle of influence, practically ensuring a ready market for your next venture.
